How Did Dickens Come Up With Scrooge?

As someone who dabbles in storytelling, I’ve often wondered how my favorite authors come up with characters that captivate audiences.

For example, my all-time favorite author, Marcus Sikora, tells a Halloween story with characters I’d love to meet. My favorite is Skeleton Pumpkin

Head – I like his voice.  🙂

I hear he’s working on a sequel, but until then, I’m looking forward to seeing a new movie that will be out for Thanksgiving and tells us about the writing process of another great author – Charles Dickens.

In The Man Who Invented Christmas, we’ll get a look at how Dickens came up with A Christmas Carol.

Synopsis:  The Man Who Invented Christmas tells of the magical journey that led to the creation of Ebenezer Scrooge (Christopher Plummer), Tiny Tim and other classic characters from A Christmas Carol. Directed by Bharat Nalluri (MISS PETTIGREW LIVES FOR A DAY), the film shows how Charles Dickens (Dan Stevens) mixed real life inspirations with his vivid imagination to conjure up unforgettable characters and a timeless tale, forever changing the holiday season into the celebration we know today.

After watching the trailer, I’m really looking forward to seeing it!

Who are some of your favorite authors? What fictional characters would you like to meet?
